5 Easy Volunteer Opportunities For You

November 13, 2018

Welcome! You've found the CSF blog :)

We will be posting some cool stuff on here, so make sure to keep checking out our website for more updates and info about our club.

For now, here are some volunteer opportunities in the Bay Area that you could look into if you're looking for some volunteer work.

1. Go join a Cal High volunteer based club! Our school offers many clubs that give easy volunteer opportunities. Go out there and explore! If you want to specifically learn about more clubs, come talk to an officer.

2. Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano

Have you ever wondered where all the food that you donate to the canned food drive goes to? Volunteer with the Contra Costa/Solano food bank! They need help with a variety of different jobs, from organizing food brought in from drives to bagging fresh produce.

3. Offer tutoring to a younger sibling or friend FOR FREE! They would appreciate it, you can sharpen your skills, and on top of that, get volunteer hours to qualify for CSF membership.

4. Ask a teacher if they need help with anything! Teachers have a pretty busy life, and they may need help grading papers, putting things up, and more! Simply ask one your teachers if they need help after school or before school. Just make sure you set up an appointment with the teacher you want to help.

5. East Bay SPCA Dublin

Do you like working with animals? Then you could consider volunteering with Dublin's animal shelter. Their half day program provides 4 hours of service. You have to pre-register to go in and volunteer, so register quickly, as spots are filled very fast, if you'd like to volunteer with animals.
